Project Objectives

  • Facilitate a steering committee of city and community partners to support plan development

  • Conduct research on Albany’s heritage and cultural resources, vulnerabilities, and opportunities to build resilience.

  • Co-author FEMA-funded plan in partnership with Oregon Heritage.

  • Provide resilience training and technical assistance to heritage organizations in Albany.

Community Engagement

  • Wrote an equitable community engagement strategy to broaden plan representation.

  • Conducted 12 partner interviews, three surveys, and 10 site visits to gather public input.

  • Facilitated 6 committee meetings and 2 resilience training workshops.
