Planning Associate, Plan for a Resilient Oregon (PRO), September 2025 – present
Co-author of Governor Tina Kotek’s PRO, developing people-centered strategy recommendations to build community resilience to natural hazards, guiding budget and legislative priorities for next biennium.
Conducting extensive research to inform PRO through analysis of 100+ local and national plans, synthesis of community engagement results, and integration of feedback from the Statewide Resilience Forum.
Designed community engagement toolkit for use by 50 community-based organizations across Oregon to solicit localized input from their communities through surveys, focus groups, interviews, and other activities.
Planning Associate, Albany Heritage & Cultural Resilience, January – June 2025
Developed FEMA-funded Heritage Disaster Resilience Plan in partnership with City of Albany, OR planners.
Conducted research through analysis of city plans, partner interviews, field visits, and survey feedback to identify resilience priorities and strategies for historic and cultural preservation.
Created guidance for Oregon Heritage to support equitable engagement in heritage resilience planning.

Senior Communications Strategist, Bureau for Legislative & Public Affairs (LPA), May 2021 – August 2024
Managed strategic communications for USAID humanitarian and development priorities across all D.C. Bureaus, technical offices, 80+ global Missions, the White House, and other federal agencies.
Overhauled coordination process with regional and technical bureaus to break down silos and facilitate access to LPA resources, resulting in more compelling stories for domestic and international audiences.
Spearheaded the USAID Strategic Communications Group of 350+ communicators to set weekly messaging, coordinate training programs, provide campaign guidance, and ensure brand quality and cohesion.
Aligned external messaging and engagements with the goals and vision set forth by Administrator Power. Coordinated press, social, video, speech, and event teams for Power’s domestic and international trips.
Identified impact stories and worked with content teams to produce social media, blogs, videos, and other assets. Developed earned content placement strategy in collaboration with media partners and influencers.
Held temporary positions at USAID Ecuador and Moldova Missions, coordinating high-level political visits and events while onboarding new Mission communications staff and collaborating with U.S. Embassy teams.

Contributed to concept and creation of WorkwithUSAID.gov, a resource designed to lower USAID partnership barriers and increase locally led development initiatives; led internal and external strategy launch.

Launched Trees for Tomorrow to reforest the urban tree canopy and recover from Emerald Ash Borer, resulting in more than 4,500 trees planted throughout 125+ public spaces.

Established a tree nursery that produced 1,000+ native trees for Panama Canal watershed reforestation.
