Objective
Work with the City of Bend to redesign a 35-acre commercial site, leveraging the Costco closure to create new opportunities for equity, transportation, sustainability, and placemaking. Designs set out to meet the criteria of Oregon’s Climate Friendly Area designations.
Client Presentation
Developed a slide deck demonstrating the design process, the proposal, and storytelling elements to help the City of Bend envision an equitable future for the 35-acre site.

The team created the Equitable Community design framework to guide an intersectional, holistic equitable design approach.
Final Design Proposal
Co-authored the final design proposal for the City of Bend, compiling research and designs from four teams representing equity, transportation, sustainability, and placemaking themes. The proposals offer a vision for a resilient, inclusive, and vibrant space that enhances the quality of life for residents in Bend’s eastside community.
